Hi all,

Early this morning, my dad (Stephen Merino) died in the ICU after a long hard battle with cancer. Thankfully his mom, aunt, and I were able to sit with him on his last days and an hour before he transitioned Misol (his grandson) was given the exception to say his goodbyes. We are so grateful to have been able to have these moments, as difficult as they were. He truly fought to the very end and now can finally rest.

Steve leaves behind many who cared for him. He was a son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, friend, student of life, and is now an ancestor.

In the midst of grieving we are also dealing with the high costs of funeral services, end of life arrangements, and giving my dad the memorial he deserves. We are asking for any support that people feel called/are able to donate. We thank you for supporting our family during this difficult time and we appreciate you all so very much.

Hold your loved ones close and tell the people you love that you love them as often as you can!
