It is with a broken heart and deep sadness that no words can describe I write this;

Today our Alejandro Hernandez, who is my son's beloved father, Noah's proud grandfather, a step dad who actually stepped up, a friend to all who had to pleasure to know him, a son, a brother….left us all and went to be with the Lord. To put words lightly, my sons were devastated at the shocking unexpected news this morning. As they got up early, excited and was actually getting ready to go visit him in the hospital when we got the call that he passed away. They had no idea just how sick their dad is…or was :(. My Alex, our son's and I had lived on our faith and hope for months as he had been battling liver disease for the past months. We've been praying for miracles and a transplant was finally in his plan of care in May and he was admitted to Northwestern Hospital downtown Chicago to begin his journey to hopefully begin preparing care for a transplant. Unfortunately Alex never got the transplant… He leaves behind our 11 year old son Axavier and 14 year old son Alexander and of course our Noah…who all were his pride and joy.

I have never been a person to ask for anything, but we are in need because Alex didn't have life insurance or have any arrangements in place and I'd like to have a memorial arranged for him to give the proper closure to my children that they need. All donations will go towards that and anything else will be set aside for his family.

Alex, my love…your contagious laughter…your smile, your annoying grito/whistle, your dancing, your cooking, your entire beautiful soul….will NEVER be forgotten….you know how much we all love you and you will be missed more than you could have ever imagined! Until we see each other again….
