Hi. My brother, Steve Bergey, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's laid back and always cracking jokes. He's got a big heart and would give you the last dollar in his pocket if you needed it. He works hard to make sure he has enough to provide for his family. Unfortunately, Steve has had some pretty bad luck when it comes to his health and on August 18th, he started his hardest battle yet. He was admitted to the ICU in pretty bad shape due to Covid and the situation has been iffy at times. He has remained in the ICU since being admitted and is currently on a ventilator and is battling pneumonia. The Dr. says he is cautiously optimistic for Steve and we are hoping that Steve will continue to take steps towards improving. When (not if!) he makes it home, he will have a long road to recovery and possibly need therapy. We have no idea what his final hospital bill will be, but I'm sure it will be quite large. I wanted to start this GoFundMe to help cover some of Steve's medical expenses and also to help out his wife and girls to make sure that they can cover other bills (rent, utilities, groceries), while Steve is not there. Please believe me when I say no donation is too small. Steve isn't one to ask for help, so little sister is trying to do what she can to help. Continued prayers would also be much appreciated!
