Help with Medical Expenses for Randy Buchler

Our dear friend Randy Buchler experienced what the doctors  suspect to be a stroke. But after many tests, it is uncertain as to what the cause of his episode was.

Further workup is scheduled at Mayo Clinic at the end of July and again in the middle of August. He won’t know if more visits will be necessary until after these appointments. Fortunately, a local pilot, (after his wife and kids volunteered on the farm for a day) has generously offered to fly Randy to Mayo for both visits, so he doesn’t have to worry about the time and energy it takes to drive there himself!

Randy was home from the Marquette hospital quickly in June after a stay in the ICU and Cardiac Unit, but then ended up back in the hospital over the Fourth. He’s back home now, but still has quite a bit of healing and therapy to do.  

This event is a huge setback for Randy and his family. Thousands of dollars will be racked up, not only for medical expenses, but also expenses from day to day farm life. Hired help MAY be needed to help care for the farm. The farm booth at the Marquette Farmer’s market is on hold, so that income is lost as well.

The Buchlers are a family who have been there for so many. They have fed a good portion of our community with their amazing organic farm food.
