This fundraiser is setup to help support our father who we love dearly. This past year and half has been very hard for my sister and I. Our father, who is diabetic and dependent on insulin, has had 2 strokes. Our father needs to live in an assisted living home where he can have the 24/7 care he so desperately needs. Since he has had the strokes, he needs to have physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy which has resulted him to be in the hospital for a couple months. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have insurance so we are having to pay for all of his care and prescriptions out of pocket. We are unable to keep up with all of the medical, therapy, assisted living, and prescription costs. We have attempted to get him qualified through some programs to help pay for the care he needs, but have denied by them all. Our family is trying to work together to pay for the care he needs, but we just can’t afford to do it anymore. We hate that we are having to ask for help, but we just don’t know what else to do.
