Our names are Deb and Tom Dutkiewicz. We are fundraising to help our dear friend Andrea Phillips, whose son, Dwight, of New York City, was critically injured on June 12 in an automobile accident involving a wrong-way driver on the Garden State Parkway. Dwight sustained severe head injuries and traumatic brain injuries that required him to remain in the ICU in a New Jersey hospital and could not be moved until recently. He is currently a patient at the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, New York, 45 minutes away from family and friends who reside in the Bronx, thus resulting in a long commute via train for visits. Dwight's progress is slow with a long road ahead of him. The accident remains under investigation with no report yet filed. Andrea and family are committed to Dwight's recovery with their love, prayer and dedication to his care. Medical expenses continue to mount with a great deal of treatment yet to come, thus necessitating funds to be raised to help with these costs.
