Help with medical expenses for Dennis Dunn

Hi, Laurel Dunn here. Hope this finds you and yours safe and well.

My husband, Dennis Dunn, has been hospitalized since October of 2022. A fall injured his spine and left him paralyzed. And a cancerous tumor was found in the duct between his gallbladder and pancreas. He's had three major surgeries (two spinal and one for the cancer).

It's been a lot, but he's the bravest and toughest person I know and he's been a real trouper. For those of you who know Dennis from his many years working security and operations for Bill Graham Presents, you know that he's always been the one who protects and takes care of others. But now he needs your help.

As you can imagine, expenses have been high, including a period where our health insurance denied coverage for a skilled nursing facility and we had to self-pay. I've been on leave from my job at Intuit and have run out of sick and vacation pay. We could really use your help to keep us going financially.

Dennis will be coming home this week after six months of hospitalization and will need equipment, supplies, home health care as well as physical and occupational therapies. Any funds you can spare will go directly to his care.

He particularly needs a ceiling-mounted power lift which will give him access to the whole house. Without it, he’ll be confined to the den on the lower level of our split-level home.

Dennis' prognosis is very positive. With time and effort, he's expected to make a good recovery and be able to walk and use his hands again. He's going to do a round of chemotherapy as a precaution against the return of the cancer.
