Help with medical expenses for Dave

Hi, I'm Debbie and along with my sisters and brother, we are starting this fundraiser for my oldest brother Dave. Dave and his partner, Teresa were on vacation in California visiting family and friends when life changed in an 
instant!

Dave was in a horrific accident.  He was taken to Sharp Medical Hospital with a concussion, twelve (12) broken ribs, fractured pelvis, lacerated kidney, pulmonary bruise, ruptured bladder, and collapsed lung. He has – already had one pelvic surgery to put two pins in the front and two pins in the back. After the surgery he was on a ventilator for three days due to difficulty breathing from the broken ribs and collapsed lung. He underwent a second surgery Sunday 6/27/21

Dave still has quite a bit of fluid in his lung so the doctor might have to put a second chest tube in. He is diligently doing his breathing exercises to avoid pneumonia. Dave is still in the Intensive Care Unit and we expect him to be in the hospital for an extended time. He will then need to be transferred to a rehab center since he will be in a wheelchair for 8 to 12 weeks while his pelvis heals.

Dave has a long road to recovery. First off, his home is on the east coast and will not be able to fly because of the lung injuries so his recovery will have to be on west coast.

Dave is one strong individual and we have seen him move mountains when he has a goal. None of us have any
doubt that he will put all he can into his rehab. He is one of the most selfless people I know and has done so much
for so many.    Dave would never ask for help but  He needs our help now.
