Bob is my adorable husband. He was a truck driver for many years, He was looking forward to retirement so he could work on old cars in his shop and work in his yard. Unfortunately his retirement did not go as planned , he has been diagnosed with Primary Myeloid Fibrosis. His bone marrow does not produce red blood cells, so his spleen is trying to compensate and it is uncomfortable and with the anemia he is severely fatigued. He has blood transfusion weekly. There is no cure for this, but with a transplant it could give him several more years. He has to be in Portland for 100+ days, he has to have a caregiver at all times to make his meals and take him to his daily outpatient appointments. We do have Medical insurance with a 6500.00 coinsurance but it doesn’t cover everything.
It will not pay for the donors expenses which would be the medical and the housing while they are in Portland, this is an expense Bob and I will have to pay along with our own housing.
I am hoping I can work remotely so I will be able to keep my own health insurance
I don’t want Bob to worry about the finances, although he asks I keep telling him “it will be fine” I want him to concentrate on getting better so with that said I’m hoping that with your donations it will help us out with the additional expenses we are incurring.
Bob is the love of my life and I would go to the ends of the earth for this man! For anyone who knows Bob he would never ask for help, he won’t even ask someone to mow the lawn, he keeps thinking he will have a “good” day and be able to do it himself.
