Help with care and expenses for Cora's Hashimotos diagnosis
Donation protected
In the beginning of 2021, I started to develop symptoms of hypothyroidism during my pregnancy with our son Eli. My symptoms continued to worsen, leading to continued fatigue, brain fog, body aches and intense physical pain. During my pregnancy with our youngest son Seth, I started to exhibit signs of even more extreme hypothyroidism and after my delivery of Seth, I had received a diagnosis of Hashimoto's, an autoimmune disease of the thyroid. I have spent the last year and a half powering through my situation, continuing to do all I can to raise four boys and work full time, which has ultimately contributed to a number of my flare-ups. I'm no stranger to hard work and perseverance but I have reached a point where continuing to push myself has led to increased stress on my system, prolonging recovery.
At this time, we are really struggling to support my monthly medical treatments and our family of 6. I'm using a naturopathic approach to treating this condition and unfortunately, insurance does not cover these options, and this route takes consistency and time. I am working with a number of naturopathic practitioners and doctors. The monthly sessions, appointments, detox protocols, nutritional supplementation, childcare costs and expenses are adding up. Due to these continued challenges, we are reaching out to our community for love, prayers and support. My goal with reaching out for help is to get assistance for the next year of care. No contribution is too small, and we are extremely grateful for all of your help during this very challenging time. Blessings to you and thank you.
Love,
Cora, Joe, Kasey, Rush, Eli and Seth
