Help with Medical Expenses for Christine Cricchio

 

 

 

My sister Christine, just learned that her leukemia has relapsed. We are all understandably, shocked and devastated by this news, as she's been in remission for over a year now and has felt GREAT. Christine learned of the relapse last Friday evening and her doctor wants to start in-patient chemo immediately. Fortunately, she and her husband Kevin and their two young boys live in Washington and she will receive her treatments at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance again. However, they are just too far north to be close enough for her to commute for her care.

 

Christine's medical care treatment will consist of 1-2 rounds of in-patient chemotherapy and then she will undergo a bone marrow transplant.  In addition to the direct medical care costs, the estimated cost for her to stay in the housing at the Cancer Care Alliance is at least $10,000.  All of these costs add up very quickly and with this being her second time going through this treatment, you can imagine the burden it will place on her.  My parents are traveling to Washington this week to help my brother-in-law care for their young boys. Christine will not be able to work much if at all and the loss of her income, will have an impact on their family as well.

 

If you know my sister, well what can I say, except you know her heart. Christine has spent much of her life volunteering and caring for others in need both here in the U.S. and abroad. She's currently a social worker with the state of Washington and works with so many in need. And now, she's in need of some help herself.

 

Our family doesn't ask for help, we would rather be the ones helping, but Friends we need your help.
