I never thought I’d be here asking for help so soon after my last medical challenge, which—thanks to your incredible generosity and encouragement—is ending with a positive recovery. Unfortunately, life has brought another challenge. I’ve recently been diagnosed with a bilateral subdural hematoma, which means there is bleeding on both sides of my brain. This is a serious and potentially dangerous condition that cannot be ignored (e.g., consistent headaches 24/7, challenges with balance) and it’s with great hesitation that I find myself needing to reach out again for help.

I’ve wrestled with whether to make another public request so soon after the last one and honestly I’m distressed to be at a loss for other options. The estimated costs for treatment, travel, and lodging are beyond what I can manage on my limited retirement income.

Your previous support, kind words, and well wishes helped me through an extraordinarily difficult time. I remain deeply grateful for every act of kindness that made it possible.
