Help with medical expenses and bills for Mike

My sister Lauren and I wanted to set up this GoFundMe for our stepdad Mike. On July 10th, Mike ended up hospitalized for a major heart attack that caused significant heart damage and decreased his heart function. He was put on medication afterwards to increase heart function, and had to wear a LifeVest to ensure his heart wouldn’t stop. The medication was not working and heart function continued to decrease. Shortly after this all began, he started having issues with his gallbladder and ended up with a gallstone that blocked a duct. Special measures had to be put in place in order for him to have his gallbladder removed. During this process, the doctors discovered that his heart function was lower than they initially thought due to the medication not working. The doctor decided that a heart transplant was more of an urgency at this point and decided to keep him in the hospital to do a full work up to get on the heart transplant list. We’re not sure how long he’ll have to wait to get a new heart. They’re not sure if he will be able to return to work during this time frame, or afterwards… possibly ever. So he and our mom are needing assistance with medical expenses and other bills. Please donate what you can, if you are able.
