Help With Medical Debt Related to Alyssa's Brain Injury

It has been almost five years since Alyssa suffered a devastating medical crisis caused by (at the time un-diagnosed) Addison’s Disease. Due to severe brain damage, she remains in a minimally conscious state in a nursing home where she requires round-the-the-clock care. She continues to receive therapy which has helped her learn how to eat and drink with assistance, minimizing her need to receive nutrition through a feeding tube. Beyond this initial progress, her condition has remained the same for the last few years. During these five years, her husband David has operated as a single parent and sole-provider while navigating regular legal and financial topics relating to Alyssa’s extensive care needs. While a portion of her care is covered by insurance, a significant portion has fallen on David. Over the years, despite already generous donations and his own financial depletion, the medical debt has accumulated to $225,000.
