Help with medical bills for the Sizemore family

Donation protected

Meet Ayla, the brilliant 8-year-old girl who has been recently diagnosed with epilepsy. She is a funny, smart, and kind young lady who brings joy to everyone who knows her. Her parents are amazing, but they are facing a heavy burden due to the crushing medical debt incurred during Ayla's treatment. They are doing everything they can to support their daughter, but the financial burden is making it challenging for them to focus on her health. We would like to help alleviate some of the financial strain by starting a GoFundMe campaign to support Ayla's family. Please consider donating to support their journey through this challenging time. Your contribution will make a significant impact on their lives, and any amount is appreciated. Thank you for considering supporting Ayla and her family.

Why I set up this page for them:

Ayla is one of my daughter's best friends and her entire family has become like my own family. Knowing them has changed my life and I know that anyone blessed enough to call them friends is lucky. Cara and Josh have three children, each with amazing skills and personalities. I know that Ayla's big brother Perrin (11) is very protective of her. And her little brother Bennett (6) smothers her with love and affection. Cara would give you the shirt off her back and has helped me as a friend in more ways than I can count. She is a blessing to the community and the world and a literal-real-life-angel.

Josh, Ayla's father- is the proud owner of an amazing practice in Corvallis called the Center for Developing Hope where he and his colleagues help hundreds of people in our community. Josh devotes his life and career to helping others and now he needs to be home with his family more than ever.

Ayla was diagnosed in early November 2022 with epilepsy. After several absence seizures, they were able to get into Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland to run a lot of tests. Since then they've had several other doctor visits to help determine why she is having the seizures, medication options, and so forth. Recently, Ayla started having Tonic Clonic seizures (previously known as Grand Mal.)

I am creating this page for the Sizemore family because I love them like my own family and I know they would never ask for help from the community. However, with the people who love them surrounding and holding space for them during this difficult and heartbreaking time, I believe we can give them AT LEAST the chance to spend more time together as a family and hopefully reduce the stress of these medical bills.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please share if you feel moved!
