Hello friends! It’s Pauly D! I am embarrassed to even ask for help, much less even post about it, but here we are. Even with insurance, I am not able to keep my head above water.
In mid-2021, I was diagnosed with perforated diverticulitis at the ER, and emergency surgery was recommended. I held off until I could see a gastro doctor, but it was determined that I needed surgery to remove an abscess on my colon. On November 23, I underwent surgery to have my sigmoid colon removed, as well as parts of my small intestine. I now have a temporary colostomy bag for three months. Over the past six months or so, I've had many tests, scans, doctor appointments, surgery, and a 5-day hospital stay. Despite having insurance through my employer, the bills have been overwhelming. I've also had to take time off work to heal, and my insurance premiums are out-of-pocket during my time off.
Medical bills are destroying me, and I cant keep up. I don’t like asking for help, but I’m asking for it. Contribute however you can. Monetarily or with shares. I’ll take all the help I can get. Thank you so much.
