Help with medical and finding answers

Hello, my name is Matthew, I am 44 and live in central Ohio. Over the past 4 years I have been fighting an ongoing battle against a disease that the doctors don't fully understand, and it's left me in constant medical debt, despite being insured and employed. Here's my story:
In May of 2016 I started dealing with some minor peripheral neuropathy, that seemed to come and go. Eventually, on one of these return trips the problem became so aggressive I lost the ability to walk for over a year and a half, and have been slowly, through regular physical therapy, getting some of that ability back. However, it didn't stop with just my legs this time, as it's done damage to my bladder and my colon. As a result, I often have over a dozen appointments per month, often with expensive specialists.

I'm at a point now where I need to make a decision as to whether to continue trying to afford all the specialists and therapies this requires or stopping most of my treatments to get out of the crippling debt and constant exhaustion. I'm not comfortable asking people for anything, but at this point and as far as we've come with the treatments, I'd hate to give up now if I don't have to. So, I'm asking, any generous folks out there, who would like to contribute, please use this platform as a chance to do so, or just share with others who might.
Currently, I'm hoping to catch up on all the bills I'm still behind on, and if there's something left, I intend to use those funds for some genetic tests (as doctors have said the disorder is most likely genetic) that aren't well covered by private insurance. These are a last-ditch effort to get some answers as I've had every test they can muster, and we have still been unable to find what triggers this. I thank you for your consideration and generosity.
Half of these funds will go towards new tests and the remainder will catch up outstanding medical bills.
