My name is Paul. My mother is in ICU right now after an episode of diabetic ketoacidosis a couple of weeks ago. She is in coma with brain damages and can not breathe by herself, a ventilator helps her breathe. The doctors say she has very little chance to recover. She had three cardiac arrests which caused the brain damages. Now we face the choice to disconnect her from life support or to try to keep her as long as possible with the hope she will recover. We don't know yet what the decision to take but it look like we will have to disconnect her and let her pass away. In both cases we need help for medical and burial expenses.
