Aid w. Medical Costs in Memory of Heather Walker

Hi, my name is Todd Henry, and I am responding to the request of several of Nathan and Heather Walker’s friends. As you know, Heather has suffered from the debilitating disease of Myotonic Dystrophy, this disease was responsible for Heather's passing into the arms of her Savior yesterday morning. Nathan has shared with us the difficult walk that they have faced the last several years as this condition ate away at Heather's health. We know however that the suffering of both dear friends never affected the love story of Nathan and Heather. They protected one another from the many ugly facets of the disease while always sharing their love for each other with those of us who know and love them.

The one part of this ravaging disease they could not protect one another from was the debilitating medical bills that assisted in making Heather’s quality of life bearable in the last few years. I ask that if you are able, you can help in relieving the continued reminder of the hardships that he and Heather endured through the end of her disease. This included an almost two week long stay, most of which was spent in the ICU, at Saint Joseph's Hospital. I hope that we may make a monetary gift to Nathan to let him know that; the love and care he has shown to others has returned to him, that we hope this gift will allow him to get to the emotional and mental healing of his loss without financial worry, and finally, that in Heather's memory we wish to recognize the way that they have reflected Jesus love to each of us.
