Many of you have followed Marty’s journey over the past two months as he’s been bravely fighting FIP. Thanks to your incredible support, Marty has been making amazing progress — we’re now nearing the end of his 12-week antiviral treatment.
Unfortunately, we hit a serious setback. Earlier this week, Marty began showing signs of distress — vomiting, vocalizing, and urinating outside the litter box. On Wednesday night, we rushed him to the emergency vet and learned he had a urinary blockage, which caused a dangerous buildup of toxins. His kidney values were elevated, and fluid was also found in his abdomen. He’s now in hospital care for multiple days, receiving urgent treatment and monitoring.
We’re doing everything we can to support Marty’s recovery, but this emergency has added at least $4,500 in vet costs on top of what we’ve already spent for his FIP treatment. We’re hoping to raise $3,000 to help ease the burden — any support, shares, or kind words mean the world to us.
Marty is a strong, sweet cat who’s already overcome so much. We’re staying hopeful and will continue to keep you all updated on his recovery.
Thank you again for being part of his journey.
Love, Marty and family
