Help Mario Fight His Battle with Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
I am reaching out with a humble heart, as many continue to ask if I need anything or is there anything that they can do. I have been pretty private about my journey to this point. I am in need of some help being able to pay my everyday expenses.

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on November 17, 2023. I went into the emergency room with pain to my left side that I had been experiencing for a couple of months thinking that it was just my acid reflux. With unbearable pain that day, I knew something was different. Within being there for a few hours, I was making a phone calls to my family sharing that my tests were leading towards me having cancer. Within one week I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. They expressed to me that it was very aggressive and my treatment would need to be just as aggressive. I made a decision that day that I would fight this and do whatever I could to show up for myself and my kids. The following Monday I had my port put in and started my first round of chemo that afternoon. The battle began!!

I have spent just under 65 days in the hospital since I was diagnosed. My treatment has been 96 hours of "The Red Devil" with an additional bag of just the hard stuff. Then four days of shots that make my bones feel like they are going to explode.

I have been able to cope and maintain a really great attitude. God has been so great to me and honestly I have not experienced many of the side effects that have been promised off the side of the bottles. However, I have experienced enough symptoms that have made parts of my every day living a little harder than expected. I often cannot remember things making my day to day living difficult. I sometimes am so exhausted that I put a smile on my face and push through the day knowing that just breathing is a gift.

I have privately handled most of my hard days with very little complaint because I am thankful to be alive. I keep trusting that God will provide. I have had a few people really step up and help me for the last few months and I am so very grateful. I also have hit many walls at having financial flow coming in. I am in need of some testing that my insurance is not covering and the financial program I qualified for does not cover the test. I also am getting behind in some of my bills. This last week I was told that i could not have the PET Scan done unless I paid for it. After many long conversations with Dr's Office, Medical Teams, Facilities, and the insurance companies I am just at a stand still. I have done the best that I can and I just am in need of help.

I am asking for help with a humble heart. I have made many changes to my life and God has really showed me who he is in this situation. With a heart of gratitude and a belief that all of this is going to work out for his good, I am sharing the needs that I have currently. I am open to allowing the opportunity for those who keep asking where they can help to help.

I can promise you that I continue to give back in all the ways that I can. One day I will be the person in the position to help someone like myself in need.
