My name is Nick Ciccantelli. This GoFundMe is being created to assist my family and I in various expenses related to my mother's imminent passing.

Between the night of February 17th and the 18th, my mom Marianne Ciccantelli suffered another devastating hemorrhagic stroke at her home in Monticello, NY. She was taken to the ER where doctors and neurosurgeons determined that, due to the severity of her injury, surgical intervention would not have any effect on her outcome. She has been deemed to have no brain activity and will never recover or breathe on her own.

My mom is an organ donor - as of this writing, she is being kept alive on a ventilator until it can be determined which of her organs are healthy enough to be donated to others. Once this is done she’ll be operated on, healthy organs will be removed, and all life sustaining measures will be stopped. I am completely devastated, and have no words that truly communicate how I feel. My mom was the strongest person I’ve ever met. She gave me everything she had to give, and more. I would be nothing without her.

As a result of this, I am faced with a mountain of logistical and financial burden. This GoFundMe intends to raise funds to help with the following:

I realize I am asking for a lot, during a time of hardship for many people. I am transparently stating that this goal is an estimate based on various to-be-determined factors - some of which may be greater or less than I anticipate. I am not clear on exactly how much debt she had, how much cost will fall on me for her hospital stay, or any other costs. I will maintain those updates on this page to the best of my ability. I can say that, immediately, her transportation and cremation costs will range from $2500-$4000. I ask that, if you decide to give, please only give what you can. It is true that I need all of the help I can get, but I don't wish to bring any undue burden to anyone who is kind enough to support my family and I.
