UPDATE:
Hello, friends! I so appreciate all the support I received when I first posted this. You all made it possible for me to get through last month, and I’m incredibly grateful!
Because our once monthly paychecks are from the previous month’s work, I’m still financially recovering from April’s surgery and post-recovery time. So for clarity/transparency: my paycheck on 5/31, is for the work of the full month of April, and it was about $1,400 short.
Any support at all to help me through this last low paycheck month would be amazing, whether it’s donating or sharing. It’s all so helpful
thank you!

Hi, friends
Last month I ended up in the ER with what ended up being two kidney stones, a kidney infection, and a UTI. It kept me out of work for almost 3 weeks.
At the end of this week I’m having a minor surgical procedure to remove the stuck stone (at last!), but that will mean missing four more days of work!
In total, it ends up being about 3.5 weeks of lost pay, and then medical bills added onto that. Chronically ill public school teacher life is a hell of a thing
It’s really uncomfortable to ask for help or support, but I do believe in community and vulnerability, so I thought I’d practice asking for the help I could use ❤️
Truly, anything is helpful, and sharing with trusted friends is always great if you don’t have expendable funds ✨
I plan on making some little thank you gifts for anyone who is able to help, as a way to send some love back to you
