Hi I'm Ruvi, granddaughter of Alberta Abrigo Sevilla, living in the Philippines, who is 83 years old, mother of 3, grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 4. She was a registered midwife but chose to dedicate her life in building & keeping a family.



My lola (grandmother in Filipino) already a survivor of stage 3 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer, 2 bouts of cerebral strokes with one side paralysis, cardiac arrhythmia requiring pacemaker insertion, a diabetic, hypertensive and with chronic kidney disease. My lola Berta had a heart attack last week complicated with shock (very low blood pressure), pulmonary congestion, respiratory failure, acute kidney failure and sepsis (severe infection). At the moment she is in an ICU in Manila requiring a ventilator, continuous dialysis, multiple procedures and a lot of medications. She is under the care of a big team of amazing medical professionals including 1 of her daughters and 3 of her grandchildren. Through God's amazing grace, wonderful miracles and steadfast love, she has survived these trials but is still in critical condition and continues to require intensive and expensive care, before we can have our smiling lola Berta back.
