Our sweet boy Loki is only 2 years old, and he is currently very sick. Asking for help is incredibly hard, but we are doing everything we can to give him the chance he deserves.
Loki is normally a happy, energetic cat who loves to play with our other cat, Meeko. He’s full of personality, cuddles whenever he gets the chance, and meows all day long to make sure he’s heard. Seeing him uncomfortable and in pain has been absolutely heartbreaking.
Loki is experiencing sediment in his urine, which veterinarians have explained is often caused by urinary crystals. In male cats, this condition is extremely serious. These crystals can turn into bladder stones or urethral blockages, which can stop him from being able to urinate. A blockage is a life-threatening emergency and requires immediate medical care.
The vets have told us that diagnosing and treating this condition involves:
• Urinalysis and lab testing
• X-rays or imaging
• Medications and pain management
• Prescription urinary food and hydration support
• Possible emergency procedures or surgery if a blockage occurs
The estimated cost for Loki’s care is around $4,000, which includes testing, treatment, and any emergency intervention he may need. Every dollar raised will go directly toward his veterinary expenses and ongoing care.
Loki is more than a pet—he is family. He’s still so young, and we just want to give him the chance to heal, play with Meeko again, and go back to being the cuddly, talkative boy we love so much.
Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is just as appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us fight for Loki.
