Help with LLF horses' medical bills!

Donation protected
Friends,

As you may have heard by now, 2021 has been a difficult medical year for our horses. Charlie tore his check ligament, was scoped for ulcers and diagnosed with kissing spine. Whimsy severely damaged his leg, requiring surgery to stitch his muscles back together. And Roxy contracted pneumonia requiring intravenous antibiotics and nebulising. Both Whimsy and Roxy almost lost their lives and were saved during several days at the equine hospital.

Though all horses are recovering, the accumulated costs of more than $20,000 plus continuing after care are above and beyond the normal medical emergency fund of our small family farm and we have no more reserve funds to cover it. These three horses are the heart of our teaching operation and the loss of their income for so long has put us even further into the financial hole. We are coming up to the most expensive time of year for barn owners as lessons are cancelled for weather and feed bills rocket. Your donations will first go toward getting the horses through the winter and then paying off the huge medical bills.

Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. We'd also love to see photos or read memories of your time with Charlie, Whimsy or Roxy. Whimsy's been teaching people to ride here for nine years, and Roxy almost as many.

Many thanks for reading this, and thanks for all your help,

Debbie and the Lantern Lane Farm horses
