Major Operation on my Femur

Hi My name is Tony, l am writing this today due to a circumstance out of my control.

l am due to have an operation at the middle of May. Originally it was for January this year but due to the way my femur is as the picture. This was cancelled or the operation would probably fail. (Knee Replacement).

l don’t like asking for help, as this is never in my nature, but l help out regularly with the community. I help out regularly with the local Bicester Ex serviceman club doing their Health & Safety and also used to do collections where l used to work in Bicester.

l had a motorbike accident when l was nearly 17, l was in a coma for 2/3 weeks and a semi coma for 3/4 months. They tried to rejoin my fracture correctly when l first did it but unfortunately l bled out… and nearly died on the operation table.

Since then l had many operations on my knee but it has come to the time l need a replacement.

But due to above complication it has gone from a Knee replacement, to having my femur realigned and now to having it realigned and extended.

I would like any money given to me to be used on bills and also if enough to help towards my physical rehabilitation.

This operation will cut through my femur after it has been realigned and then be turned a mm every day for 30 days to lengthen my femur which after should correct any back pain and also the way l walk/posture.

l will be off work probably 3/4 months depending on my rehabilitation possibly longer.

Any monies not used will be passed on to other charities.
