Our Mother Lisa Buie has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer, which has since spread to her liver and lymph nodes. This story all started a couple year`s ago when she started having extreme pains and bowel problems, shortness of breath and the list could go on but brushed it of thinking it was caused from stress or other health issues. When she finally couldn't take it anymore her doctor decided to schedule for a colonoscopy, October 10th is when they confirmed our worst nightmare the stage 4 colon cancer.  Lisa is now faced with several months of chemotherapy and radiation in between which she will undergo a major surgery following more treatments. So now at the short age of 51 her enitre life has been flipped inside out, She is no longer able to work after working her entire life to provide for her family and children, So you could only imagine the overwhelming stress and worries this brings. I`m hoping to raise money to help our mother's financial hardship through her fight with the overwhelming cost of medical bills, all her treatment's and medication, travel expenses to and from UCSF, also her ongoing household and living expenses which her insurance only covers a small percentage of the cost for medical. She is frightened not only for herself, but her family and the extreme emotional and financial cost of this disease. Lisa will begin treatments Wednesday November 6th.
