Help with Surgery Expenses for Laura

It’s Laura Taglione here, putting out a request

for any assistance to help cover my medical

expenses from a necessary Left Total Hip

Replacement surgery I had on June 3, 2022.

Over the past few years I have had worsening

pain in my left hip, which in turn was increasing spasmodic events in my lower back. I reached a point after that my quality of life has spiraled down and i had to take care of it. 

With the presence of Covid still ongoing my

attempt to get my medical care and diagnosis

was greatly elongated. Recently I was put

through months of diagnostic studies, and

multiple physicians to find what would be the

best approach to handle  my condition. 

It was determined that i had a left hip deteriorated to the point that i could not walk or for any distances longer than a couple blocks. At thesame time my spinal surgeon

found that I have severe degeneration

of my Lumbar spine with 3 levels of

Anterolisthesis ( unstable vertebrae).

  My insurance wanted me to complete conservative therapy before any

surgery could be considered. Eventually at the

end of therapy, it was decided that spinal fusion would be necessary at some point but that my hip was aggravating my spinal issue. So a hip replacement was the first move so I could regain quality of life and hopefully help with my back.

I am unemployed, my hip surgery was completed 6 days ago and I am on my way to a period of rehabbing so I can see how much better my back becomes with strengthening.

Presently I am Responsible for a total of

$8,700.00 out of pocket for my surgery. I have

already paid out approximately $2,000.00

toward my total out of pocket.

I am putting this request with a prayer for any

relief from this burden that you can

afford. I know many people are hitting hard times so any amount would be considered a Grateful Gift.

It is abnormal and uncomfortable for me to

publicly share my personal and financial woes.

But i believe that this request will fall upon

willing and understanding ears.
