UPDATE…
it has been almost three years since my sister was in this accident. She still has not received any money from any court settlement, nor will she as the man was an illegal immigrant that died and there’s no money to collect. She has over $3 million in hospital bills and attorney fee are on the bottom of that because they tried and failed. She has another surgery coming this Wednesday! she cannot work. She is about to lose everything! she needs help and she won’t ask for it. I’m again, please begging at this point for you guys to donate to my sister and help her so she can relax after her new surgery this Wednesday. they literally (doctors) destroyed her leg taken out pens, adding pens, now they’re all bent (literally).. she has seriously fallen over six times in the past year! She is in terrible shape! She has applied for her disability has not received it and it could be another year before they ever even determined. That’s how Disability works.. until then though guys she’s got to live she can’t be on the streets. it is terrible. She needs help.

Melanie was in a head on collision on Sunday, April 2nd. She was entrapped in the vehicle and critically wounded. After 8 hours, the hospital informed us that she had suffered from a severe heart contusion, collapsed right lung (full of blood clots), both arms broken, left femur/knee shattered, right femur broken.
She has had 7 surgeries to date. As of April 8th, she has started to experience the beginning of PTSD. She will not be able to bare weight on her legs or arms for the next ten weeks, and then she will be able to start putting weight on one leg.
We want to thank everyone’s prayers, thoughts, and time you have spent checking in. Melanie feels it and is so thankful.
We have surrounded her as a family to provide all the hands on care we can. Her road to recovery is long and part of that uphill battle is adjusting to what her new life will be like. As you guys know, life goes on even when you’re stuck in bed. We are starting this GoFundMe to help her while she recovers and can make ends meet without having that added stress. We ask that if you can not donate - please send cards and share this!!
