On Monday, March 22, 2021, one of my longest and dearest friends, Alexis Gangarossa, was involved in a very serious car accident.
She sustained very serious injuries including a broken ankle, a broken femur, a collapsed and bruising on her lung, several various facial fractures and a fractured breast bone. Due to the extent of these injuries, she needed to be airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital where she has been continuing to recover. She will also eventually require an extensive amount of rehab to help get back to where she used to be.
Lexi graduated from Midlakes High School in 2017, and works at a local hair salon and LOVES what she does, but unfortunately will not be able to return any time soon. Sadly, we all know how medical and other bills can add up fast, and right now this is the last thing her family needs to worry about.
If you know Lexi or anyone in this family, they are some of the most kind and caring people that I have had the pleasure of growing up around and still have in my life almost 20 years later. They would do anything for anyone, and right now I need you, as a community, to do that for them.
If you have the means and ability to donate and lessen the financial burden of all the expenses that may arise along the process of Lexi's recovery, it would be deeply appreciated by so many.
Lexi has a long, hard road of healing and recovery ahead of her but she is a fighter, as well as one of the strongest people and is surrounded by so much love and support that she will get through this. One day at a time.
