In the Fall of 2020, Larry was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Following a cancer related procedure, Larry was hospitalized for a week with hemorrhaging and also COVID-19. At the same time, Judi was also hospitalized with what turned out to be severe COVID-19. Judi was in the hospital for over two weeks and is still dealing with the after effects of COVID. 

Larry began treatment (radiation) at Mayo Clinic in February and they were staying down in Rochester for the bulk of the five weeks of treatment—occasionally driving home to the Twin Cities on the weekends. During that time, Larry and Judi not only be incurred whatever medical expenses were not covered by Medicare/insurance, but also hotels, restaurants, and other expenses associated with travel. This GoFundMe has been set up to assist with those costs.
