Help with Kristina's Renovation and Other Expenses

Hi, my name is Joseph Schmidt, and I'm creating this Go Fund Me in hopes to raise money to cover renovation costs and other future expenses for my mother, Kristina Moneypenny. Kristina was involved in a severe life-altering motor vehicle collision on the night of April 25th, 2021, when both her and the driver of the vehicle hit a pole head on while traveling at very high speeds. While she was the passenger, she suffered from a spleen injury which resulted in the spleen being removed, an acetabular fracture, a fractured femur, multiple closed pelvic fractures with disruption to her pelvic circle, both lungs collapsed, multiple rib fractures, dislocation of her right subtalar joint, a left kidney laceration, a horrendous ankle fracture, and the biggest pill of them all to swallow, a severed spinal cord. Her spine is damaged from her T1 to T6, and thankfully she was sent by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital, where they performed multiple surgeries and restored her body the best they could. With that being said, she has no feeling from below her breasts down, (yes, paralysis) and has to learn to live independently again through intensive physical rehabilitation and therapy. Our family has been taking care of things for her so far while she has been unable to do so, but now I feel as though it's time to reach out and ask for assistance through these trying times. My mother has such a sweet soul, and a very giving one as well. She loves spending time with her boys (she has three: Lucas (14 years old), Jaxon (5 years old), and I, who will be turning 20 next month), crafting with her Cricut, and is always so active doing something, from cooking sweet little snacks at all times, to decorating for our gender reveal and baby shower. Life had been going so well prior to the accident, we were both working on making a life for us and the ones we love, she had been working on getting a vehicle so she could return to work and go about daily errands, as well as helping prepare for her beautiful granddaughter due towards the end of July. While this was quite a lot to handle at first, and even now, this could be looked at as more of a redirection than a change, and it doesn't have to stop the goals and progress she has made in the past months. I am just beyond grateful that I can still see and talk to my mom, and that she will still be here for my brothers, family and friends, and will be able to hold sweet Journey Jo and Kash O'Neil. In order to fully prepare for her return home, we have been looking at renovations for the house she is currently residing in, including ramps to make the house more wheelchair accessible, rails to hold herself on, and expanded doorways to fit the wheelchair. Those are just a few things on the list, but it goes on for a while. The goal of this Go Fund Me is to raise the funds necessary for the renovations, including other expenses not covered by insurance. Any amount of help, no matter how big or small, means the world to my family and mother. The current goal is $1,500, although that is just a base amount.
