Help with Kona's Vet Bills

Hi, my name is Melanie and I am fundraising to help a dear friend Marti cover the emergency vet bills for her old girl Kona.

For those in the community that know Marti they know she LOVES her herdy dogs, especially Border Collies (she has 4). So in October 2022, when Marti heard that Kona's family had fallen on hard times and at 16 years old she was now in the shelter, Marti stepped up and took Kona in so she could live her golden years surrounded by people and dogs who would love her. Kona has been thriving under Marti's care and her previous owner comes to visit often.

Sadly, on Friday, May 12th, 2023 Kona became very ill and Marti rushed her to Cary Town Emergency Center and she needs emergency surgery to save her life. Both Marti, her previous owner and the vets think Kona will do well with the surgery and although she is almost 17 she is otherwise healthy and has a zest for life.

Marti is the type of person who would drop everything to be there for her friends, she is well known in the dog community for all the fun sports she does with her dogs and helping pet owners provide the best for their pets with her work at Redridge Pet Market. She's always willing to lend a helping hand and now it's time for the community to rally behind and help her and Kona! No donation is too small and all money raised will go to Kona's medial bills and continued care post surgery. Thank you in advance!
