Help with kicking stage 4 colon cancer
Donation protected
Hello all,
I’m reaching out to you because I’ve started a GoFundMe page for my father Philip McCormick. He has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver
Some of you know him as a friend, family, a loved one. To me he is Dad, and the strongest man I know. Throughout my life he has helped others without a thought if he was able to, and most of the time, when he wasn’t fully in a spot to do so. I don’t have any children of my own, but I am now old enough to understand how expensive and difficult it is to have 4 children, with a one income household. My father made it happen and he is truly my hero.
He will be undergoing surgery to remove at least half of his colon. They will also at that time, be cutting out a portion of his liver to remove a tumor. It is an invasive surgery with a long recovery time. After he recovers from his surgery, he will undergo 4-6 months of chemo.
The medical bills in leading up to his diagnosis with countless doctor visits, imaging scans, tests, consultations, etc. have been piling up. My father is self employed as a chiropractor, so for his recovery he won’t be able to work or have medical leave. I know this worry is creating a lot of unneeded stress so I have decided to ask for help. Anything would help and prayers are greatly appreciated.
Thank you all so much for the support and your time in reading this ♥️
