Katya, a 46-year-old member of our church was admitted to a regional hospital on February 6 with a serious case of pneumonia. On Feb. 8 she was transferred to the ICU of that hospital. The next day the doctor told us that she should be transferred to a hospital that is better equipped. By that evening, Monday, February 9, she was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Kyiv.
As of today, February 12, her lungs are critically compromised; they appear to be stuck together. The doctors do not fully understand how her lungs have been so severely affected in such a relatively short period of time. This doctor mentioned that there are signs of pneumonia from COVID. She wears a mask that fits tightly to her face, through which she is given oxygen under pressure. This helps to open her lungs. But in reality, there is little doctors can do. Recovery, if God grants it, will probably be slow. Her condition could also deteriorate suddenly.
We invite everyone who wishes to join us in prayer for Katya. We believe that where the human hand is weak, God's hand is almighty!
If God lays it on your heart, we as a congregation would be grateful for help with Katya's hospital bill.
