Help with Juno's Medical Bills

Meet Juno, also known as Junicho, June Bug, or June Baboon. She’s our one-year-old cat with a big personality that makes us laugh. Juno is usually playful, cuddly, and full of energy. One minute she’s turning your hand into her personal toy, the next she’s bringing you her favorite mouse as a peace offering. You’ll often find her curled up on the bed or dozing off right in front of her food bowl, waiting for it to dispense, although it won’t for another hour or two.

But recently, our sweet Juno hasn't been herself. She began hiding, sleeping excessively, and refusing food — all very out of character. We rushed her to emergency vets, urgent care, and specialists, spending long hours trying to figure out what was wrong, where we also discovered that she had developed a fever of 106°F. Sadly, her condition worsened rapidly. She became unresponsive to her surroundings, her breathing changed, and she stopped eating and drinking entirely. We had to give her water with a syringe just to keep her hydrated and cool.
Then we got the heartbreaking news: Juno was severely anemic, with her red blood cell count dropping to a dangerous 8% — far below the normal 25–45% range. And without a blood transfusion, she wouldn’t survive the night. We moved quickly, and thankfully, the first transfusion stabilized her. She came home, and we were relieved to see glimpses of our Juno again — walking, eating, purring, and playing.

But her recovery was short-lived. Her red blood cell count dropped again — this time to 13% — and she needed a second transfusion. Right now, we’re still searching for answers. We don’t yet know the cause of her anemia or what long-term treatment will look like.

Through all of this, Juno has fought bravely, and we are doing everything we can to fight for her. But the costs of emergency visits, hospitalizations, transfusions, and ongoing testing are quickly adding up. We’re asking for help to cover Juno’s care and to give her the chance she deserves. She’s only one year old. She has so much life left to live — more cuddles, more toys, more naps and more food. Anything you can give is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us fight for our girl.
