Help Julie with Stroke Recovery

My sister, Julie Elman, a professor at Mizzou and mom of two young kids, suffered a stroke on Monday, 12/18, as a result of a Covid infection. She was rushed to the hospital, received surgery to remove what turned out to be multiple clots, and was left to heal unconscious/sedated for two days. She is progressing incredibly well since then, moving off of the breathing and feeding tubes quickly. She has been moved out of ICU, then out of the hospital completely into a live-in rehabilitation facility, where she will continue to regain her balance, ability to walk, control of her left arm, etc. Anyone who knows Julie knows she is a fighter and has a competitive spirit, but even with that, this is likely to be a long process of recovery for her and a large adjustment for her family.
If anyone is so inclined, your generous donations will go toward:
1) Making her home safe and accessible for her return (lighting, smart features, dog gates, etc)
2) Childcare needs
3) Loss of family income
4) Additional therapies (not covered)
5) House cleaning
6) Anything the kids may need to make Julie’s recovery smoother for the whole family.
