Dear friends and family,
by now, most of you have heard about the passing of Jose Victor Aldana who went to heaven on 2/18/2021 from complications as a result of COVID.
Jose... or Victor, as many of you know him as, was loved by everyone who knew him. He was known for his daily visits to his favorite restaurant James, love of classic cars, action movies, his secret addition with infomercials, the love he had for his Mother, and so much more.
Victor had a loving family, including his wife, 4 children, 5.5 grandchildren, 9 surviving brothers and sisters, and his Mother.
I am writing to you all today to ask for assistance with burying Jose Victor Aldana.
Though we know death is inevitable, this was not planned. Victor took all precautions to be safe, but unfortunately this virus found his way to him and his body could not fight it off.
Our family is absolutely devastated by his passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the cemetery services. At this time, funeral arrangements have not been made due to the backlog COVID has caused. The earliest appointment we have been scheduled for, to begin discussions on funeral arrangements, is for May 9th.
At this time, it is our understanding that our father made arrangements with the mortuary, but we do not know the extent of those arrangements, and will not know until May. However, we are certain that the cemetery had not been paid for, which is the biggest expense.
Based on speaking with San Fernando Mission Catholic Cemetery and the quotes given, below is a breakdown of all the costs involved with the cemetery. This is only including the basics and nothing extra like flowers:
Grave: $18,875.00
Internment fees: $1,195.00
Contract Administration fee: $95.00
Approximate total: $20,165
*The amount requested may change after conversations from the mortuary
We would appreciate anything you can give - no donation is too small.
Thank you all in advance - I know in similar times Victor would be there for us all.
Much love,
Lil Becky, Maribel, Ana, Jose, and Emilio
