Help with Rel Ambrocio's medical needs
Donation protected
Recently doctors in Eugene found that a suspected cyst in Rel’s leg was in fact a large tumor. The doctors suspected that this was a form of cancer and sought specialized care. Sunday, Rel arrived at OHSU in Portland. After arriving at OHSU, doctors discovered that the tumor in Rel’s leg was growing at a rapid rate and compromised the integrity of the bone.
After consultation with the doctors and receiving results confirming that this was Sarcoma (a type of cancer), we made the difficult decision to have immediate surgery to amputate the leg and prevent further spread.
We are thankful the surgery went well with no complications and Rel is in recovery. Please be praying specifically for mental health, overall comfort, peace, and recovery.
There are still upcoming tests and scans which will determine more treatment and next steps (including the nodules in her lungs). We are continuing to take this one day at a time.
We still desire your continued love, support, and prayers.
Attached below are ways you can donate to help support our financial needs during this time away from home and work.
We know many of you have questions, encouragement, and concern. Please understand that we do not have the capacity to respond to all your texts, messages, phone calls, or questions and comments. Thank you for understanding.
Praise and worship continues to be one of our weapons in this fight. These are long days but this family is trusting in the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
Love,
Joey, Rel, and Melody
