Help With Jasper’s Emergency Vet Costs

Hello friends, my cat Jasper was rushed to the emergency vet last Thursday morning with sudden severe neurological symptoms. He woke up in an almost paralyzed state, having a really hard time coordinating any movement. He was also having a hard time breathing. He was held at the hospital for 24 hours for various tests and close monitoring. After a few days the lab results showed he had an infection lying dormant that popped up aggressively, causing scary neurological symptoms due to inflammation of his brain and an attack on his central nervous system. He was completely asymptomatic up until this point, his immune system was working overtime to suppress it. He’s had a corticosteroid shot to help with inflammation and is currently on an antibiotic protocol for the infection. His treatment will last another 3 weeks at minimum. At this point he’s doing much much better (yay)! But, due to the lengthy vet stay and many different lab tests, plus prescriptions and refills, my savings are suffering (not yay). As the new month is coming up and new bills approach, things are super tight. Any amount helps- Jasper and his brother Cosmo are my babies and I would do anything in my power to keep them healthy and safe. Anyone who’s met Jasper knows how much of a silly love bug he is. He’s truly one of a kind.
