Help with Janet's Double Lung Transplant
Donation protected
My name is Erica Collins, my Mom, Janet Collins was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), an incurable, terminal lung disease that requires a double lung transplant to survive. She has been on oxygen for over 4 years, and now the disease has progressed to the point that Shands Hospital in Gainsville has given her about 3-6 months left and they've placed her on the transplant list. We're staying positive and hopeful that she'll get the call for her life-changing surgery soon.
We are asking for help to cover costs that will not be covered by insurance and other expenses associated with her care before, during and for several months after the transplant.
Those of you who know my mom know she’s always been an active, energetic person and has never let anything slow her down. She's an amazing Nana and has always joined us for fun family adventures. This disease is taking a toll physically and emotionally on her and our family. It’s time to get my mom the lungs she needs to survive. Anything you can donate to help my mom is greatly appreciated.
Your thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes mean the world to us. Thank you for keeping our family in your hearts.
