Help with Jan Orski's Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Jan Orski is my beloved husband. But also, he is a devoted father, doting grandfather, a brother, son, uncle and friend!
In 2018, Jan was tragically diagnosed with rare and aggressive bowel, liver and lung cancer, and his prognosis for survival has been bleak. Despite this, Jan has undergone multiple sessions of chemotherapy and chemo-radiation with positivity, bravery and a continued thirst for life.
As Jan's wife - and mother of his children - I can say that as a family, we are not ready to lose our beloved husband/dad/granddad.
With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Jan's treatment has effectively halted to a stop. Despite our best efforts, getting a management plan in place has been virtually impossible - and the treatment that is most likely to succeed is sadly out of reach for us. The NHS have recommended a course of Avastin treatment, which will work to shrink the tumours so that chemotherapy and other treatment will be as effective as possible. Unfortunately, Avastin is not offered as part of the NHS and the cost can be up to, if not more than, £25,000 for a course.
If we had the money, we would gladly spend it on the treatment of our cherished Jan . . . But sadly, we do not have this sort of money available. We have thought long and hard about starting a Go Fund Me page, as we appreciate it is a difficult time for everybody with lockdown - but if Jan doesn't start receiving Avastin treatment soon, it is likely he will not live much longer.
From the bottom of our hearts, we ask for your support, prayers, and if possible, a monetary donation. Jan is desperate to spend as long as possible with his children and grandchildren, to watch them grow and develop. Any additional time available will be cherished by all of us.
We thank you most sincerely for anything at all that you can offer.
Thank you!
