EDITED:
We cannot thank everyone enough for helping with the previous amount and Jace’s bills. The amount of love and compassion people have shown truly astounds me. ❤️❤️
Hello! My name is Amanda and I’m Jace’s mom. Jace is a funny, happy, smart, creative now 4 year old. He is our miracle baby. Our rainbow baby after years of secondary infertility and a traumatic loss in 2019. To say that I have been connected to him on another level is beyond words. He is the light of my life and brightens everyone’s day.
Jace has been a pretty healthy kid aside from some ear infections so when he had some strange lymph node swelling, I thought it was a virus that he’d pass quickly. When he didn’t, I pushed for testing. Unfortunately, on October 17, 2023, my worst nightmare became real. Jace was diagnosed with Pre B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He began treatment immediately.
Jace spent nearly two months inpatient after diagnoses. During that time, right before I was to return to work, my dad passed away and I was out of work even longer.
Jace had several emergency clinic visits for viruses, transfusions, infections, etc. and he’s had other week long stays with things like an emergency appendectomy and immunotherapy.
Jace is now in maintenance (with another year and two months of treatment left) but is hospitalized once again (11/19/24). He has an infection around his G Tube. With all of this, and appointments, I am out of sick days. I have exhausted the sick bank that was available to me and am now getting docked paychecks as I’m on salary (a teacher).
I once again, humbly, ask for your help during this time. Thank you. ❤️
