Medical bills and final resting place

On Nov 28th, Ben and I made what was supposed to be a routine trip to Boston for appointments. Nov 29th we arrived at Boston children's hospital, found quick parking, and made our way to our echo appointment. Immediately after the echo out day turned upside down. Isaac, as we all know, had a heart defect. The echo on the 29th showed severely depressed cardiac function and fluid in Isaac's belly. We were shaken. The cardiologist wanted Isaac delivered with in a couple days.

We were admitted for monitoring and steroid shots for Isaacs lungs. With in 30 min I had many doctors who came in saying they didn't like what they were seeing and Delivery was moved to a C-section very quickly. At 504pm we welcomed Isaac Stephen Stockwell at 31 weeks 5 days weighing 4lbs 8oz 16.5inches long.

Isaac was quickly rushed away to children hospital with his amazing daddy in tow.

2 hrs later I was able to go to children's to see him as well. Isaac was beautiful. Intubated and many IVs but doing well. Drs told us to get some sleep but they would call to update us. At midnight we got a call saying the Drs were coming to bringhams to see us. Our heart sank and we knew something was immediately wrong. Isaac's heart was too weak and too little to survive surgery. Comfort measures were our options and we chose to do that at bringhams to be in the same hospital together.

We got to hold Isaac for the first time around 3am. We performed a baptism together with the Chaplin. We inked his feet and hands for keepsakes.

We called and asked granpatents to come. Each grandparent got to hold Isaac and around 545 on Nov 30th. Isaac passed quickly, peacefully and loved in the arms of his mom and dad.
