Help with Homer's Medical Bills from Dog Attack

Hi, my name is Justyn Charbonneau and I am creating this fundraiser for my Mother-in-law's dog, Homer. He is a 10 year

old shitzu who is almost entirely blind.

My MIL (Mother-in-law) was walking Homer at the graveyard here in chatham where she has walked him for years. During their walk, they were approached by man and woman who had 3 smalls dogs on a leash, and big black and white dog off of a leash. The big dog ran and attacked poor homer, and put teeth holes in his back as well as tore the skin around his leg and his knee. While they were trying to restrain their dog, he attacked a second time. The couples response to homer being injured was, "It's just a flesh wound, and some polysporin will help." Then the couple left the scene.

My MIL was crying and rushed homer home right away so she could nurse his wounds, and she realized she didn't get couples information. Since then, animal control has been contacted and given descriptions of the couple and the dog, and they have been patroling keeping an eye out.

We are hoping to find the couple and hold them responsible for the vet bills for homer, however with little information to go on, that may not happen.

Homer had a vet visit the next day, and it was a $750 bill. However, he has to go to a specialist to fix his leg and his knee, and the bill for that will be $3000.

We are trying to raise funds for the specialist. Any donations would highly be appreciated during this tough time for my MIL and poor little homer.
