Gloria Beaty and three others were involved in a tragic, life threatening boating accident at Cedar Creek Lake on August 13, 2021. All suffered severe injuries, including Gloria who was airlifted to a Dallas trauma center that evening due to her own life threatening injuries. We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to assist Gloria with any out of pocket expenses she will undoubtedly incur from this life changing accident.

For those who know Gloria, she is truly a fun-loving sweetheart who loves and cares for all, including the wonderful patients she cares for on a daily basis as an Assisted Living Director. She brings joy to so many people, and we would like to help her in her time of need and on her road to recovery, to include helping with any out of pocket medical expenses.

Gloria suffered very severe injuries, to include shattering her right ankle/leg and suffering a reportedly 99% amputation of her left leg from this terrible accident. Gloria lost a tremendous amount of blood at the scene due to severed arteries and truly almost died, and still may lose her left leg as a result of the accident. Thanks to the quick help of first responders at the scene (please see the linked article), they were able to save her at the scene and stabilize her until emergency air flight was able to transport her to Dallas, but she still remains in critical shape - physically and emotionally.

Since the accident, Gloria has undergone five surgeries so far to help save her life, protect against infection and attempt to save and reconstruct her left leg. She is not out of the woods yet, and will still need several more surgeries, and extensive rehab, in order to have a chance to return to some semblance of normalcy.

Medical bills and rehab will be VERY expensive, and there will certainly be out of pocket expenses. We are asking anyone who may be able to support her GoFundMe campaign to please donate to such a wonderful person as Gloria. We would also appreciate it if you could please spread word about this campaign on social media.

As of today, she is stable but still critical, in a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort, with a long road to recovery in front of her. God please heal and protect her and the others, and bless all who are able to help.
