My beloved father, Gil Antonio Morales, was taken from us too soon due to COVID-19. Dad tested positive for COVID-19 on October 28, 2020.  He was admitted to ICU, and on November 8, 2020, dad was intubated and required a ventilator. My mother, sisters, and I truly believed we would see him recover, but he was not progressing. “He goes one step forward and five steps back,” nurses told us. On February 28, 2021, Dad ascended into heaven. We are heartbroken by his passing. Dad loved his wife and children with such passion and joy and left us with so many memories. We were truly blessed to have had such a wonderful, loving, and caring man in our lives. Always with a big smile and joking, he would light up our home as soon as he would come in from work.
