Help With Funeral Expenses for Zion

The Waynewoods are asking for your help to provide funeral expenses for their sweet baby girl, Zion. She passed away from her ongoing battle with illness. Last summer, Zion was diagnosed with Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP), which is a rare, life-threatening, multisystem disorder. She then developed Lupus and Stage 3 kidney disease. She has been in and out of the hospital and the cancer institute, fighting for her life. She went through chemotherapy and was on multiple medications and steroids. During the week of Thanksgiving, she was admitted to St. Luke’s Children’s hospital in Boise, Idaho. On December 1st, 2022, she passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with all of her family surrounding her. She was just shy of her 12th birthday.

Before she was sick, she was a playful girl. She loved going outside, hanging out with her friends, making TikToks, listening to music, and dancing. She was known as a "shining, sparkling girl" who "never stopped smiling," said one of her former teachers.

Her sister says that "everyone will remember about her is how strong of a warrior she was and how bright of a smile she had. Or how disgusted she was when her grandfather cut his fish."

At this time, her mother Miya is a single mother still taking care of three boys at home: Sanai (14), Judayah (9) and Nehemyah (8). Zion's older sister, Addy Faith, will also be at home helping them during this difficult time.
