My brother-in-law was the heart of our family—outgoing, always making us laugh, and loved by everyone who met him. He never met a stranger and gave his love wholeheartedly. His spirit brought so much joy to our lives, and he was truly the family clown, always ready with a joke or a smile.
He faced more than his share of challenges, living with type 1 diabetes since he was a baby. Last year, he lost his right leg below the knee, and this year, his left leg above the knee. Despite these hardships, he remained determined and hopeful, working hard in rehab to regain his strength and learn to walk again as a double amputee. He was also on dialysis for kidney failure caused by his diabetes. Since March, he had been in a nursing home, fighting to recover and adapt to his new reality. On Wednesday, he told the staff he wasn't feeling well and decided to skip dialysis, hoping some rest would help. Sadly, he never woke up. When the staff checked on him, they found him unresponsive. He was rushed to the ER and placed on a ventilator, but after several tests, it was confirmed that he had suffered a brain aneurysm. The decision was made to withdraw life-sustaining measures and allow him to pass peacefully.
Because he did not have life insurance, the costs of his funeral and final arrangements now fall entirely on our family. We are reaching out for help to give him the farewell he deserves. Any amount will help and be greatly appreciated. We understand if you are unable to donate, but please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means the world to us during this difficult time.
